West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been waiting for over an hour to meet with junior doctors in an effort to resolve the impasse at RG Kar hospital. However, the government has refused to allow live-streaming of the meeting, a condition the medics have insisted upon.

Chief Secretary Manoj Pant stated that while live-streaming is not crucial, dialogue is necessary to find a solution. The medics, represented by protestor Aniket Mahato, have refused to attend the meeting if live-streaming is not permitted. The CM has been waiting for the last one and a half hours as they demand live-telecast rights.

The government assured that the entire meeting would be video recorded for any necessary future actions. Despite this assurance, the junior doctors arrived late to the meeting, having left their protest spot only after reaffirming their demand for live streaming was non-negotiable, a stance previously rejected by the state chief secretary.
