A protest near Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's private residence on Azza (Gaza) Street in central Jerusalem spiraled out of control on Monday night, according to Tel Aviv [Israel], September 3 (ANI/TPS).

The Israel Police reported that Jerusalem district officers were deployed with augmented forces to ensure freedom of expression and protest. However, tensions rose as demonstrators attempted to march toward nearby streets without police coordination, breaching barriers, engaging in confrontations with officers, and igniting smoke flares.

Increased police presence was intended to manage the protest, but unrest escalated as demonstrators began causing disruptions, highlighting the volatile nature of such assemblies.
