Laboratory Technician Arrested for 21-Year Sexual Exploitation of Nurse

A 59-year-old man employed as a laboratory technician in the health department in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi has been apprehended on charges of raping a nurse for over two decades under the false pretense of marriage, according to police reports.
The complaint, lodged by a 36-year-old nurse, was submitted to Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sabiha Khatoon, leading to a directive for police action. Consequently, the technician, Chintamani Sharma, was arrested on Friday from Varanasi.
The Bhadohi Superintendent of Police, Meenakshi Katyayan, revealed that Sharma and the victim were acquainted since her teenage years and that he had manipulated her by exploiting her trust. Continuous abusive behavior, including physical assault and property damage, was reported before his arrest.
