A 19-year-old woman from a village in Nagra was allegedly raped on August 14, prompting swift action from local authorities. According to the FIR and police statements, the woman had gone to defecate when she was attacked by Vijay Pratap, aged 27.

Harishankar Singh, the in-charge of Nagra police station, stated that the woman's father filed a complaint, which led to the registration of a case under the provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sahhita.

The accused was brought before a local court and subsequently sent to jail, officials confirmed.
