Rajat Verma: The New CEO Revolutionizing DBS Bank India
Rajat Verma has been appointed as the new CEO of DBS Bank India, succeeding Surojit Shome in February 2025. Verma, with 27 years of banking experience, has excelled in various sectors. Since joining DBS in June 2023, he has notably grown the Institutional Banking Group.

The Reserve Bank of India has sanctioned the appointment of Rajat Verma as the new Chief Executive Officer of DBS Bank India.
Verma, who presently heads the Institutional Banking Group, will take over from the outgoing CEO Surojit Shome, set to retire on February 28, 2025, DBS Bank India announced.
With 27 years of expertise in both consumer and corporate banking sectors, Verma is recognized for his acumen in transactional banking, financial institutions, sustainable finance, micro, SME, and branch banking. Since his appointment as Head of the IBG in June 2023, Rajat Verma has successfully expanded the business across multiple client segments.
