Delhi Chief Minister Atishi inaugurated a six-lane flyover in Punjabi Bagh on Thursday, anticipated to ease commute for around 3.45 lakh people daily. By bypassing three traffic signals, it promises significant time savings for travelers between key city areas.

The new 1.12 km stretch is expected to save 40,800 commuter hours daily and reduce pollution equivalent to planting 65,000 trees. It's the 39th flyover inaugurated by the AAP government in the last decade, signaling major strides in urban development and traffic management.

The flyover complements existing infrastructure and forms part of Delhi's broader urban expansion plan, including metro extensions and extensive road, sewer, and water pipeline constructions. Over four lakh streetlights and three lakh CCTV cameras now illuminate and monitor Delhi, stark improvements from just a decade ago.
