Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the terror attack on civilians in the Gagangir area of Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, describing it as an 'act of cowardice.' Shah asserted that perpetrators will be subjected to severe action by security forces.
Two laborers lost their lives in the attack that occurred on Sunday evening. Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, Shah also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured. This act of violence targeted non-local laborers involved in an infrastructure project.
J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the incident, terming it 'dastardly and cowardly.' He expressed his condolences to the victims' families and criticized the targeting of unarmed, innocent people.
