Maharashtra Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha flagged off the Namo Express special train on Thursday, facilitating Konkan residents' travel to their villages for Ganeshotsav. The train departed from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT).

Addressing the gathering, Lodha highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding the arrival of Lord Ganesh, not just in Maharashtra but across India. He stated, 'Thousands bring Lord Ganesh to their homes. This time, we've arranged a special Modi train for Konkan residents, named Namo Express, to help Maharashtra move forward under PM Modi's leadership.'

On social media platform X, Lodha expressed his pleasure, stating, 'Hosting Namo Express every year for Ganeshotsav is a joy. For Ganesha devotees, this festival is one of faith and enthusiasm. The train provides thousands with the opportunity to visit their Konkan villages and celebrate.' He reiterated BJP's commitment to Hindu festivals.

Commenting on the arrest of sculptor Jaydeep Apte in the Sindhudurg statue collapse incident, Lodha insisted on strict action. 'It was his mistake, leading to a significant incident that hurt Shivaji followers' sentiments,' he remarked. A 35-foot-tall statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj collapsed on August 26 in Sindhudurg district.
