A fire at a major refinery in Moscow is not expected to lead to fuel shortages in the region, according to Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev, as reported by Interfax news agency on Thursday.

Following the fire, Gazpromneft's Moscow refinery has suspended operations at its combined refining unit Euro+, which includes the crude distillation unit CDU-6, as informed by three sources to Reuters.

This recent incident follows a previous drone attack on September 1, where the refinery and other Russian power plants were targeted by Ukraine.
