Hungarian oil and gas company MOL is negotiating a new scheme to assume responsibility for Russian crude oil flowing through Ukraine, the prime minister's chief of staff announced Thursday.
The negotiations come in response to Kyiv's ban on its main partner Lukoil's transport through Ukrainian pipelines, prompting MOL to seek alternative solutions.
However, the new scheme is expected to be both more expensive and riskier, according to chief of staff Gergely Gulyas.
