Adani Energy Solutions Secures Major Khavda Transmission Project
Adani Energy Solutions announced on Monday its acquisition of a 298-km special purpose vehicle for the Khavda Phase IV Part-A transmission project, which involves a Rs 4,091 crore investment. The project aims to evacuate 7 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda RE park and is expected to be commissioned in Gujarat within the next 24 months on a BOOT basis.

Adani Energy Solutions announced on Monday that it has acquired a 298-km special purpose vehicle (SPV) for the Khavda Phase IV Part-A transmission project, entailing an investment of Rs 4,091 crore.
According to a statement released by the company, the Khavda IVA Power Transmission Ltd SPV was established by REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) to evacuate 7 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda RE park. AESL plans to commission the project in Gujarat within the next 24 months on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.
The project includes the construction of a 298 km (596 ckm) transmission line, 300 MVAr STATCOM, 3x1500 MVA, 765/400 kV Inter-connecting Transformer (ICTs), as well as 1x330 MVAr, 765 kV and 1x125 MVAr, 420 kV bus reactors. AESL secured the project through a competitive tariff-based bidding process and will maintain it for the next 35 years.
