Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday addressed attendees of the Jan Milan program in Agastyamuni, Rudraprayag, via virtual means from his camp office in Dehradun. He conveyed that while he wished to join them in person, inclement weather made it impossible.

The Chief Minister assured the people of Rudraprayag that he intends to visit them soon. He highlighted the government's measures to prevent misuse of the Chardham name and praised the record-setting Chardham Yatra for boosting local livelihoods and religious tourism. Dhami noted the rising demand for local products during the pilgrimage, emphasizing the government's commitment to promoting goods made by women.

On a recent inspection visit directed by CM Dhami, District In-charge Char Dham Yatra Secretary R Rajesh Kumar assessed the projects in Kedar Valley, which had experienced heavy rains. He was accompanied by relevant officials as they inspected the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund National Highway and urged for expedited work on repairs.

Kumar reviewed efforts by the National Highway Division of PWD and the Irrigation Department to fix damaged roads, giving special attention to sections from Km 72 to Km 75 of the highway. He called for quick completion of the repairs with earth movers deployed for the task.
