The Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan, on Tuesday administered the 'Sadhbhavana Day Pledge' to the officers and staff of Raj Bhavan in honor of the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's 80th birth anniversary. The pledge encourages people to work for emotional unity and resolve conflicts through dialogue.

During the ceremony at Raj Bhavan, the Governor also paid floral tributes to Rajiv Gandhi's portrait. 'Sadbhavana Diwas' aims to promote national integration, communal harmony, and goodwill among people of all religions. High-ranking officials, including Principal Secretary Pravin Darade and Joint Secretary Sweta Singhal, participated in the event.

Numerous prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, paid respects to the late Prime Minister. Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Sachin Pilot also commemorated Rajiv Gandhi in Veer Bhumi, New Delhi. Rajiv Gandhi, notable for lowering the voting age, empowering women, and driving the IT revolution, remains a transformative figure in India's history.
