Political tensions are escalating in Haryana as Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following the announcement of assembly poll dates. Speaking at the Congress rally 'Haryana Mange Hisaab' in Ambala Cantonment, MP Hooda accused the BJP of derailing the state's development and placing Haryana at the top of the country in unemployment, drug addiction, crime, and corruption.

The Rohtak MP specifically targeted the current Haryana government and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, alleging that the BJP had made numerous announcements but failed to implement any of them. Hooda stated, 'These announcements are either false and cannot be implemented, or the party never intended to implement these schemes.'

As the state prepares for the upcoming elections, Hooda mentioned, 'In the last few days, I have visited about 50 assembly constituencies, and the overwhelming sentiment is clear: the BJP government is on its way out, and the Congress government is coming in.'

Commenting further on the law and order situation, Hooda pointed out that, according to a Government of India report, Haryana currently has the highest crime rate in the nation. Earlier, Congress MP Randeep Surjewala also accused the BJP-led Haryana government of deceiving the state's populace ahead of the assembly polls.

'The 10-year tenure of atrocities under the Bharatiya Janata Party has come to an end. In the last 10 years, no class has been spared from being cheated by the BJP,' stated Surjewala. 'The people of Haryana are going to initiate the end of the Bharatiya Janata Party on October 1.'

The Assembly elections in Haryana will be held in a single phase on October 1. Polling in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will take place in three phases from September 18 to October 1, with the counting of votes slated for October 4. (ANI)
