The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has countered the Congress party's claims regarding the Medigadda Barrage, asserting that it is filled with water from the recent monsoon rains. The BRS made this statement in a post on X, highlighting that the Medigadda barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, is overflowing with water in Telangana.

To back their statement, the BRS shared a video of the water-filled Medigadda barrage. They commented, 'The Kaleshwaram project stands firm against Congress conspiracies... the Medigadda barrage is filled with water!' The BRS noted that despite ongoing negative propaganda and false claims of collapse spread by Congress and hundreds of YouTube channels, millions of cusecs of floodwater are currently flowing through Medigadda, disproving these rumors.

'No matter how many conspiracies those opposing Telangana's growth concoct, the Kaleshwaram project remains the state's vital water source,' asserted the BRS. They added, 'Anyone trying to malign the Kaleshwaram project out of hatred for KCR will be historically insignificant. Jai Telangana.'

Previously, reports emerged about damage to a few pillars of the Medigadda barrage, triggering political controversy and a visit from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to the site. (ANI)
