The Delhi High Court has instructed petitioner Ravinder Yadav to file an affidavit confirming whether his own house is constructed as per the sanctioned plan, amid allegations of unauthorized construction.
Justice Dharmesh Sharma directed Yadav to disclose if his house has any unauthorized construction. During the hearing, the counsels for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and the Public Works Department (PWD) reported that actions have been taken per the court's directives.
The court scheduled the next hearing for November 12, 2024, and instructed Yadav to provide an affidavit detailing his occupation, income source with bank statements, and his history of filing Public Interest Litigations (PILs) or similar cases, to assess potential misuse of legal proceedings.
