MCD Announces Upcoming Elections for Wards Committees

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will hold elections on September 4, 2024, for the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, and one Standing Committee member. Nomination filings began Wednesday and will close on August 30. The elections adhere to regulations from the Delhi Municipal Corporation, 1958.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has scheduled the elections for Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Wards Committees, as well as one member to the Standing Committee, for September 4, 2024. This announcement was made via a press release.

According to the release, the elections will be held at Hansraj Gupta Auditorium (First Floor) and Satya Narayan Bansal Sabhagar (Second Floor), A-Block, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civic Centre.

The nomination process commenced on Wednesday, with the last date for filing nominations set for August 30, by 5 pm. The elections will be conducted as per the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Procedure & Conduct of Business) Regulations, 1958.
