The National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has issued a strong condemnation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad's (ABVP) recent attempts to deflect attention from the pressing issue of fake degrees reportedly held by some of their office bearers at the University of Delhi. NSUI President Varun Choudhary denounced the ABVP's actions, unveiling their "history of violence and misdirection."

"This is a clear attempt by the ABVP to shift focus from real issues like the NEET, NET, and NTA scams," Choudhary stated. He highlighted that ABVP has consistently engaged in violent actions across Indian campuses. "At the University of Delhi, they have repeatedly resorted to violence, including thrashing and threatening professors. These actions are not only condemnable but also reveal their true intent to mislead students and cover up their own malpractices," he added.

In his statement, titled "Our Response to ABVP's Diversion Tactics," Choudhary claimed, "ABVP's fabricated violence, attacks on idols, and production of counterfeit degrees are efforts to mislead students and divert attention from their malpractices." He further asserted that ABVP acts as a safeguard for the ruling BJP government, rather than addressing genuine student issues like the NEET, NET, or NTA scams.

NSUI emphasized its dedication to truth, justice, and transparency, focusing on the real concerns affecting students. "We urge the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the fake degree scandal at DUSU, ensuring those responsible are held accountable. Our students deserve representatives with integrity, not those with fake degrees and marksheets," the official NSUI release stated.
