Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Raha in Nagaon district to review the progress of a Rs 50 crore tourist centre dedicated to Tiwa King Jongal Balahu.

During the visit, Sarma assessed various facets of the ongoing construction, including Tiwa culture-themed entry gates, cycle tracks, bridges, guest houses, museums, stages, aquariums, and exhibition halls. He urged authorities to maintain the timeline and uphold quality standards.

Dignitaries including Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika and MLAs Ramakanta Deuri and Sashikanta Das were present. Sarma also met families of victims from a recent boat capsize incident, offering condolences and promising Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia to each victim's next of kin.
