EKA Mobility, a commercial electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced a strategic collaboration with Swedish furniture giant IKEA to supply electric delivery vans in India.
In this partnership, EKA has already supplied 10 vehicles to IKEA, with plans to expand the fleet across multiple regions in India. The move aligns with IKEA's strategy to electrify its last-mile delivery fleet, significantly curbing its carbon emissions.
Rohit Srivastava, Chief Growth Officer at EKA Mobility, highlighted the environmental benefits and transformation of the logistics industry through electric vehicles. Saiba Suri, Country Customer Fulfilment Manager at IKEA India, underscored the company's commitment to innovative solutions and long-term investments in the Indian market.
