Former Chief Minister and Member of Parliament Basavaraj Bommai has expressed profound sorrow following the passing of Saroja, the mother of renowned actor Kichcha Sudeep and wife of his close associate Sanjeev Saroovar. She passed away Sunday at Apollo Hospital in Jayanagar, where she was treated for age-related health issues.

In an official statement, Bommai described Saroja's death as a significant personal loss. 'She epitomized motherly warmth, always welcoming guests with kindness and care, much like Annapoorneshwari. Her hospitality was a hallmark of her presence, and her absence is deeply mourned,' he stated, announcing plans to visit the family to pay his respects.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC President DK Shivakumar also conveyed his condolences via social media, sharing a heartfelt message alongside a photograph of Sudeep with his mother. He extended his prayers for the family's strength during this time of bereavement. Saroja's last rites are scheduled for today at the family's residence in JP Nagar.
