The Jharkhand High Court has instructed the state government to file an affidavit outlining actions taken to transfer PLFI chief Dinesh Gope to AIIMS for medical treatment.

Gope, apprehended by the NIA in May 2023 in New Delhi after evading capture for two decades, is currently detained at Birsa Munda Central Jail.

Facing over 100 criminal charges, Gope's health issues post-surgery have prompted the RIMS medical board to recommend advanced care at AIIMS, highlighting the government's inaction on the matter.
