The Union Cabinet, in a meeting led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, approved a significant proposal for the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) development at Lothal, Gujarat.
The project is set to create an estimated 22,000 jobs, including 15,000 direct and 7,000 indirect roles. This initiative promises to drive economic growth and benefit local communities, tourists, scholars, and various organizations.
Renowned architecture firm Architect Hafeez Contractor crafted the NMHC master plan, with Tata Projects Ltd undertaking Phase 1A's construction. The NMHC will include a museum, coastal state pavilions, and theme parks, poised to be a major attraction.
