Ratan Tata in Intensive Care: Updates from Mumbai Hospital
Ratan Tata

Ratan Tata, the esteemed chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, is currently in a critical state and receiving intensive care at a Mumbai hospital, according to sources familiar with the matter as revealed to Reuters on Wednesday.

The 86-year-old business magnate announced earlier this week that he was undergoing routine medical checks due to his age and related health concerns. Despite this, a representative for Tata has not yet provided further updates on his current condition.

Admitted to Breach Candy hospital, Tata conveyed through social media on Monday that he remains in positive spirits, downplaying the severity of the situation. Tata, who led the company's diverse interests from autos to telecommunications, stepped down in 2012, later assuming an honorary position.
