In a bold statement on Monday, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar urged Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy to prioritize job creation over political activities. He criticized Kumaraswamy for spending excessive time on politics instead of leveraging his portfolio in the Heavy Industries and Steel sectors to create jobs for Karnataka residents.
Shivakumar highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allocation of a significant portfolio to Kumaraswamy and emphasized the need to generate between 50,000 to 100,000 jobs in the state. He stated that Kumaraswamy should focus on leaving a lasting legacy rather than making unnecessary statements.
Responding to Kumaraswamy's criticism of ADGP (SIT) Lokayukta M Chandrashekar, Shivakumar pointed out that Chandrashekar is investigating the case while Kumaraswamy is under investigation. He distanced himself from the matter, asserting no involvement.
