Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday underscored the importance of Jain principles while addressing an event organized by the Rajasthan Jain Sabha at Mahavir Public School in Jaipur. Sharma noted that making mistakes is human, but acknowledging them and seeking forgiveness is a profound quality.
He stressed that forgiveness helps dispel bitterness and hatred, fostering peace and harmony. Sharma described the day as a celebration of spiritual purification that also emphasizes societal responsibilities. He stated that in Jainism, apologizing is vital for self-purification, strengthening relationships, and enhancing mental peace and spiritual growth.
Sharma reiterated the importance of forgiveness, offering apologies for any past mistakes, intentional or not. He highlighted the universal message of peace and harmony in Jainism and explained how the Daslakshan festival serves as a crucial source of guidance for humanity.
