Hong Kong has seen a remarkable 155% increase in visitors from India during the first half of 2024, welcoming 181,000 tourists. This growth aligns with the city's broader tourism boom, which saw 21 million visitors from January to June.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) recently concluded its annual three-city Hong Kong Travel Mission to India, covering Mumbai, Chennai, and New Delhi. The mission featured a 36-seller delegation comprised of Hong Kong's key trade partners, including iconic attractions, theme parks, and leading hotels. They engaged with over 500 Indian trade partners to boost tourism ties.
The HKTB is promoting a variety of year-round events, such as the Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival, Hong Kong Winterfest, and the New Year Countdown Fireworks, to sustain interest. Initiatives like the 'Summer Chill Hong Kong' campaign aim to enhance visitor experiences and incentivize travel.
