Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reassured the public that no one would be displaced due to the proposed Banke Bihari Temple Corridor in Mathura. Adityanath instructed officials to prioritize a detailed action plan for the rehabilitation of any affected individuals.

In addition, the chief minister stressed the importance of multi-level parking and commercial spaces within the corridor. According to a statement issued in Lucknow, the Allahabad High Court had previously approved the state government's plan to develop the corridor to facilitate devotees' darshan and puja experiences.

During his two-day visit to Mathura for Janmashtami, Adityanath held a review meeting on Monday where he emphasized the government's responsibility for the safety of locals, tourists, and devotees. Increased security measures, including additional CCTV and patrols, were discussed to ensure a 'Safe City' environment. The chief minister also highlighted the need for immediate repairs of potholed roads, cleanliness, and better facilities to create a pleasant experience for visitors.
