Director Nag Ashwin has addressed the controversy sparked by actor Arshad Warsi's comments on Prabhas' role in 'Kalki 2898 AD.' Warsi described Prabhas' portrayal as that of a 'joker,' which angered the actor's fans.
In a statement on X, Ashwin urged against using these comments to create a divide between the north and south Indian film industries. 'Let's not go backwards... no more north-south or bolly vs tolly.. Eyes on the bigger picture.. United Indian Film Industry,' he stated, while adding that Warsi should have chosen his words more carefully.
Ashwin assured that he will focus on making the sequel even better so audiences would praise Prabhas' performance. 'Too much hate in the world already, we can try not to add to it,' he added.
