India emerged victorious over Spain with a 2-1 score in a thrilling match. Patnaik, whose previous administration has fervently supported Indian hockey since 2018, voiced his hopes for a gold medal at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
At the ceremony, players like Sumit, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, Abhishek, and Sanjay, along with Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey, expressed gratitude towards Patnaik. They lauded his pivotal sponsorship, crediting him for reviving interest and support in the sport.
