Actor Vicky Kaushal on Tuesday emphasized the importance of portraying real-life heroes, contrasting them with fictional characters from the West. He noted that filmmakers in the West make movies like 'Avengers' due to a lack of real superheroes akin to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Kaushal, who stars as the Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the upcoming period drama 'Chhaava', directed by Laxman Utekar, spoke at a special event held at Chitra Cinemas, showcasing the film's teaser. Produced by Maddock Films, 'Chhaava' is slated for a December 6 release.

The actor, a National Award winner, described playing Sambhaji Maharaj as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He believes that India's history is replete with real superheroes whose valor and sacrifices should be celebrated and shared with the world. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, with music composed by A R Rahman.
