Arshad Nadeem, the javelin throw gold medallist in the recently-concluded Paris Games, called for modern facilities for Pakistani women athletes to perform at the highest level.
Since his return with Pakistan's first Olympic gold since 1984, Nadeem has received substantial rewards, including approximately 280 million in cash prizes, cars, and other gifts. Recently, Governor Punjab awarded him two million rupees and a car.
Beyond personal accolades, Nadeem urged the government to establish a modern track and field stadium and a university for women in his hometown, Mian Channu. He emphasized the need for such facilities for both men and women.
Appearing on ARY news with his wife Rashida, Nadeem humorously mentioned the buffalo gifted by his father-in-law and expressed a preference for land instead. His coach, Salman Butt, announced that Nadeem will resume training in a month to meet international competition expectations.
