Reflecting on the strong bilateral relations between Maldives and India, Zameer emphasized that the partnership is rooted in the people and active cooperation. He reiterated President Dr. Mohammad Muizzu's commitment to deepening these ties for mutual benefit. Recently, the relationship saw renewed vigor following External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's visit to the Maldives.
Jaishankar's visit came after months of tension post President Muizzu's demand for the repatriation of Indian military personnel. Despite these hurdles, the mutual withdrawal of military troops has led to improved relations. Zameer conveyed gratitude to Jaishankar and praised the bilateral cooperation during the cultural event.
