The Chatra Samaj has assured that the scheduled protests on Tuesday will not disrupt the UGC-NET candidates. Organizers emphasized the exam, pivotal for determining eligibility for assistant professors and junior research fellowships, will proceed smoothly with sessions at 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm.

Sayan Lahiri, spokesperson of Chatra Samaj, reassured, 'Our non-violent protest will not affect the candidates. Given the two sessions, candidates should not face any difficulty in appearing for the first session.' The exams are also slated for August 28, coinciding with the foundation day of TMC's student wing.

Kolkata Police confirmed sufficient police presence to assist candidates in reaching their centers. 'In any emergency, candidates can seek help from nearby police personnel or contact the closest station,' they advised. Chatra Samaj is rallying to the state secretariat for justice in a recent criminal case, pressing for the Chief Minister's resignation.
