Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ignited a heated debate in the Lok Sabha on Monday by alleging serious flaws in the country's examination system, prompting a robust response from Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who denied any evidence of paper leaks over the past seven years.

As the opposition pooled efforts to corner the government on the issue, Speaker Om Birla urged members to focus on developing a better examination system rather than questioning the integrity of all exams. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is actively investigating alleged irregularities in the NEET medical entrance exam, having already registered six FIRs.

Gandhi stressed the gravity of the situation, claiming the examination system could be compromised by those with financial means. A visibly upset Pradhan countered that constructive discussions should replace sweeping statements. The Speaker echoed this sentiment, warning that such broad accusations could tarnish the global perception of India's education system. Post-discussion, Gandhi and members from the opposition walked out of the House in protest.
