A Vistara flight that departed Mumbai for Frankfurt on Friday was diverted to Turkey due to a security concern. Sources confirmed the safe disembarkation of all 247 passengers at Erzurum Airport and ongoing cooperation with local authorities.

The emergency landing was prompted by a bomb threat message found on a piece of paper by a passenger, which was subsequently handed to a crew member. Vistara Spokesperson reported that flight UK 27 was diverted on September 6, 2024, after crew members noted the security issue, ensuring the aircraft landed safely.

As a standard procedure, relevant authorities were immediately notified, and security checks are underway. Vistara emphasized that the safety of passengers, crew, and the aircraft is their highest priority. The airline confirmed on social media that UK27 had landed safely at 1905 hours following the security diversion.
