Rs 16.75 Crore Sanctioned for Chhattisgarh Rail Projects

The Ministry of Railway has approved a budget of Rs 16.75 crore for conducting the final survey and preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for two new rail line projects in Chhattisgarh, as confirmed by a state government official.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the potential development benefits for the Bastar and Surguja regions from these projects.
The Centre has specifically allocated Rs 12.25 crore for the 490-km rail line from Gadchiroli to Bijapur via Bacheli, poised to significantly enhance Bastar's infrastructure. Additionally, Rs 4.50 crore has been sanctioned for a 180-km rail line from Korba to Ambikapur. These projects belong to the South East Central Railway and promise substantial regional growth, Sai expressed gratitude toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the support.
