Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at the Kanguda Nagraj temple complex in Tehri district on Friday, taking part in the Sri Kanguda Nagraj Temple Restoration Jagran ceremony. He circumambulated the temple, offered prayers, and sought blessings for the state's prosperity.

During the event, Dhami planted a sapling as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign. He congratulated the newly constructed temple's Pran Pratishtha and wished for the fulfilment of the state's people's desires.

Dhami mentioned the ongoing efforts to develop Kanguda into a significant tourism and religious hub. He assured that the district administration's DPR of about 2 crore for this project would be approved soon. Additionally, a master plan including a modern guest house, a 30,000-litre water tank, and other infrastructure will be implemented to enhance the area.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is dedicated to advancing Devbhoomi's religious and cultural legacy. Various public welfare schemes, like Ujjwala Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana, are benefitting the community. He also highlighted the success of the 'Lakhpati Didi' initiative, aiming to empower 1.5 lakh women by 2025.

On this occasion, locals presented development demands, to which Dhami promised positive action post-evaluation. Among the proposals was the Chham-Baldogi suspension bridge, for which a report is being prepared.
