Five days after Kerala lorry driver Arjun went missing in a massive landslide in Karnataka, his family has voiced their lack of faith in the ongoing rescue efforts, seeking Army intervention.

The family appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Suresh Gopi, and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for Army deployment or for Kerala volunteers to assist in the search.

The family cited delays and lack of urgency in the rescue operations, insisting that equipment from Kerala could help expedite the mission.

Kerala Forest Minister A K Saseendran assured that efforts were being expedited with intervention from Kerala officials and political leaders.

Opposition Leader V D Satheesan stated that Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar oversaw the rescue mission, despite weather hindrances.

Arjun's family last communicated with him on Monday, and his truck's GPS signal indicated its location under debris. Despite initial delays, rescue operations continue amidst challenging conditions.
