Foreign-Branded Smartphone Sales Surge in China
Sales of foreign-branded smartphones, including Apple's iPhone, in China rose by 2.7% in July compared to the previous year. Data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology revealed that 2.38 million foreign-branded handsets were sold. Overall, phone sales in China increased by 30.5% year-on-year.

Sales of foreign-branded smartphones, such as Apple's iPhone, witnessed a 2.7% rise in China this July compared to the same month last year, a government-affiliated research firm revealed.
Data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) showed that sales of these phones reached 2.38 million units, up from 2.315 million units recorded in the previous year.
Overall phone sales within China also saw a significant hike, soaring by 30.5% year-on-year to hit 24.2 million handsets for the month, according to the CAICT report.
