Hero MotoCorp, a leading manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported selling 512,360 units in August 2024. The company disclosed the figure in a filing to the exchange, attributing a domestic sales tally of 492,263 units for the month. Notably, Hero MotoCorp acknowledged that supply shortages had a marginal impact on August sales, but anticipated making up for the deficit in September.

The company recorded a substantial 38 percent month-on-month growth in overall dispatch volumes, selling 2,417,790 units in FY'25 (April-August). This performance marked an 8 percent improvement compared to the same period in FY'24. The firm's readiness to scale up operations for the upcoming festive season, where robust growth is expected, was also highlighted.

According to Hero MotoCorp, a faster recovery in the rural segment, the growth of the 125cc category, new scooter launches, and robust investments in power brands are projected to propel the company ahead of industry trends. The company also reported that dispatches of its EV brand, VIDA, crossed 6,000 units monthly for the first time, uplifting its retail market share (VAHAN) to over 5 percent.

The company maintained positive global business momentum, with August dispatches rising sequentially and year-on-year. Year-to-date sales (April-August 2025) surged by 32 percent. The 125cc segment saw significant uptake, especially for the Xtreme 125R model.

Further expanding its global footprint, Hero MotoCorp has commenced operations in the Philippines through a strategic partnership with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), which will assemble and distribute Hero MotoCorp products and services in the nation.
