The Maharashtra government is intensifying its efforts to bolster cybersecurity and establish a cybercrime-free environment, according to Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik.

Saunik inaugurated the 9019115115 cybersecurity helpline of the Maharashtra Yuva Cyber Suraksha Upkram and 'What Now' on Wednesday evening, highlighting the broad use of digital tools and the rising incidences of online fraud due to a lack of information about online transactions.

Various government officials, including Mumbai police chief Vivek Phansalkar and the founders of 'What Now', stressed the need for greater cyber awareness and urged citizens to use the new helpline and report incidents promptly to the police.
