The incidents of enforced disappearances in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) are on a steep rise. The abduction of family members, activists, and locals has driven the public to the streets in protest. The latest incident involving Raja Mudassir has incited demonstrations across PoJK, according to local news sources.

The protests, spearheaded by Mudassir's family, demanded his safe and unconditional release. Demonstrators held placards and chanted slogans condemning the Pakistan defense forces and PoJK's administration for the growing number of disappearances.

Reportedly, Mudassir was abducted by security forces during Ramadan, and his whereabouts remain unknown. A local leader at the protest remarked, "No one can imagine the pain Mudassir's family is enduring. The youth of a nation is its strength, and PoJK's administration is undermining it by abducting them. The entire region is suffering. This protest will escalate if Mudassir is not returned safely."

Another protester added, "We are exhausted. Our brother has been missing for months. We've lodged complaints and sought help from authorities to ensure Mudassir's safe return. Hundreds from our village are here today, and we will intensify our protest if Mudassir's whereabouts remain unknown." (ANI)
