Police in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district have arrested eight men in connection with the abduction and gang-rape of two orchestra dancers at gunpoint. According to authorities, the perpetrators forced the victims into vehicles and transported them to a house where the crime took place.

The abduction occurred Monday night under the jurisdiction of the Ramkola police station. The suspects arrived in two SUVs and, amidst continuous firing, took the victims to the residence of one of the accused, Ajit Singh, in the Kaptanganj area, where the gang-rape was allegedly carried out, according to Kushinagar Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Mishra.

Those apprehended include Nagendra Yadav, Ashwan Singh, Krish Tiwari, Arthak Singh, Ajit Singh, and Dr. Vivek Seth. Local figures such as Aditya Pratap Singh, a BJP member, and practicing doctor Vivek Seth were among those taken into custody. Police recovered a cache of weapons and vehicles used in the crime including illegal firearms and live ammunition.
