HAL: Pivotal in Realising 'Make in India' and 'Viksit Bharat' Vision

Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, emphasized Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's significant role in the 'Make in India' initiative and achieving 'Viksit Bharat'. During his visit to HAL facilities, he assured government support and urged the company to overcome challenges in design, development, and production.

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on Monday highlighted the crucial role of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in fulfilling the 'Make in India dream' in the defence sector, urging the company to contribute towards achieving 'Viksit Bharat'.

During his visit to the HAL facilities, Seth addressed the company's top management, promising government support.

He emphasized the importance of meeting design, development, production, and delivery challenges to support the government's vision of a developed India.

In an official statement, HAL detailed its product profile, current repair and overhaul operations, aircraft upgrades, avionics advancements, export initiatives, manned and unmanned aerial vehicles, indigenisation efforts, and civil MRO initiatives. Later, Seth toured HAL's LCA Tejas and Helicopter divisions.

C B Ananthakrishnan, CMD (Additional Charge) of HAL, expressed gratitude for the government's support and outlined the company's proactive measures to address operational challenges.
