India cruised to a significant seven-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the rain-shortened second test to secure a 2-0 series sweep in Kanpur on Tuesday.
Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja and seamer Jasprit Bumrah were instrumental in the extended morning session, dismantling Bangladesh's lineup and bowling them out for a mere 146 in their second innings. This set India a target of 95 runs, which they comfortably achieved with more than a session to spare.
Yashasvi Jaiswal led India's chase with an impressive 51, while Virat Kohli remained unbeaten at 29. This result marked India's record-extending 18th consecutive test series victory on home ground, solidifying their top position in the World Test Championship standings.
