In a troubling series of events, Babasaheb Sonawane, 42, has allegedly committed multiple assaults, including attacks on law enforcement and a patient, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
Currently receiving treatment at Central Hospital in Ulhasnagar, Sonawane reportedly attacked a policeman preparing his discharge papers, asking if he was creating a death certificate for him before assaulting him, stated senior inspector Shankar Awtade.
This marks the third First Information Report against Sonawane in under a week. Initially arrested for attacking a woman constable on September 26, he subsequently injured a fellow patient two days later by throwing an iron stool.
