Loganimasi, a Paris Olympics Sevens silver medallist, made an immediate impact in his test debut, scoring twice in the second half. Despite Japan's efforts to secure a win under coach Eddie Jones, Fiji's superior play and a strong finish ensured their triumph.

Captain Tevita Ikanivere praised the team's unity and looked ahead to future challenges.
