On Saturday, the appointment of new chief justices was confirmed for seven high courts across India, notably including Delhi. This wave of appointments follows amendments made to earlier recommendations issued on July 11 by the Supreme Court Collegium.

In notable changes, Justice Manmohan, previously the acting chief justice of the Delhi High Court, has been officially appointed as its chief justice. Similarly, Justice Rajiv Shakdher has been elevated to the position of chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

Other significant appointments include Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar of the Bombay High Court, who will now lead the Kerala High Court, and Justice KR Shriram from Bombay, now the chief justice of the Madras High Court. Justice Indra Prasanna Mukerji will head the High Court of Meghalaya, Justice Tashi Rabstan will preside over the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, and Justice Suresh Kumar Kait is elevated to the chief justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
