New Delhi, Sep 21 (PTI) — A social media claim alleging that Congress general secretary K C Venugopal made a statement about ending reservation has been debunked by PTI Fact Check. The claim was accompanied by a screenshot of a Hindi newspaper.

PTI Fact Check's desk scrutinized the screenshot and found no credible source titled 'Aapki Awaaz'. Further investigation showed a lack of credible media reports supporting the alleged statement.

Congress general secretary Dr Vineet Punia called the claim fake, attributing it to false propaganda by political opponents. The PTI's fact-checking findings clearly indicate the screenshot was edited.
